Humanists Malta
🎉 Today marks Humanists Malta’s official birthday! 🎉From advocating for secular education to championing end-of-life choices, we’ve come a long way thanks to your support. This year, we're especially proud of our ongoing Voluntary Assisted Euthanasia (VAE) campaign—a call for compassion, dignity, and respect for personal autonomy. If you believe in a Malta where people are free to make choices about their own lives and deaths, please support our work. Every contribution helps us push for change.💛 Donate here: humanistsmalta.org/donateThank you for being part of our journey. Humanists Malta
🟦 Our Initial Response on Voluntary Assisted Euthanasia (VAE)As part of Malta’s national conversation on end-of-life choice, Humanists Malta is sharing its initial response on Voluntary Assisted Euthanasia. We believe in compassion, dignity, and the right to choose — always within a safe, strictly regulated framework.🔵 End-of-life decisions must never be imposed, but those facing unbearable suffering should have the legal option to decide for themselves.🔵 We also support strong safeguards, capacity assessments, and access to palliative care alongside, but not as a prerequisite for, voluntary assisted euthanasia.📄 Read our initial response here: shorturl.at/0Uiri🗣️ Share your story with us (anonymously if you prefer): shorturl.at/pUQ33Your voice can help shape Malta’s future on end-of-life autonomy.#VoluntaryAssistedEuthanasia #HumanistsMalta #RightToChoose #DignityInDying #EndOfLifeCare #MaltaConsultation ... Our speaker on the night was our chairperson, James Buhagiar. It was a genuinely engaging discussion, with a range of perspectives shared in an open way — a great example of how complex issues can be explored thoughtfully within our communities.📺 You can watch the full debate this Friday on Tokis, Il-Kazin:🔗 www.go.com.mt/tv/il-kazin/🔍 Read more about Assisted Dying and where Humanists Malta stands:humanistsmalta.org/assisted-dying/📢 Watch out for our official initial response to the public consultation, being published tomorrow — it will shed more light on what James touched on during the debate and outline our position in full.🕊️ Let’s keep the conversation going — with compassion, dignity, and honesty.#AssistedDying #HumanistsMalta #DinjitaFlAħħar #VoluntaryEuthanasia #IlKazin #MaltaDebate #RightToChoose ...
